Interest in sport climbing has exploded in Cape Town!
Whether you are a newbie who’d like to experience the fun and challenge of climbing or a seasoned climber; whether your favoured spot is out on the rock or crushing boulder problems indoors, you’re in great company. We’d like to invite you to allow your skills and passion for the sport to bring you into contention at a provincial level.
Western Cape Climbing, the home of sport climbing in the Western Cape, is the official provincial sporting federation with the responsibility to manage and develop the sport of climbing in the Western Cape. The climbing disciplines include bouldering, lead climbing and speed climbing. Take part in any one or all three!

"Climbing Matters" is a live panel discussion of experts on matters relating to climbing and the climbing community. The purpose of these discussion is to inform our members of everything related to climbing. We will have a small studio audience asking questions, learning and getting to know each other.
COVID-19 protocols will be adhered to.
We will discuss matters such as Geology, Nutrition, Injury Prevention, Woman's Health, HIV, and many others.
These discussions will be filmed and uploaded to out YouTube channel for members to watch and grow.
The first of these discussions will have special guests Calrin Curtis and David Naude both talking about their international climbing experiences at the Open World Championships in 2019 and the Youth Olympics in 2018.
Western Cape Climbing will also talk about the plans and vision for the future.
